Operating Principle & Installation Guide for FECO X3 – Nano-Semiconductor Solution for Emission Reduction & Fuel Saving
I. Purpose of the Guide
This guide helps customers and partners to:
-
Evaluate and demonstrate the effectiveness of FECO X3 immediately after installation on both cars and motorcycles using the customer’s own exhaust gas analyzer.
-
Understand exhaust emission indicators for cars and motorcycles and assess the current vehicle condition.
-
Measure and compare emission levels before and after installing FECO X3 to provide clear, verifiable results.
-
Notes when testing vehicles with catalytic converters (exhaust after-treatment systems).
📌 Requirement: Each vehicle installed with FECO X3 must have a recording sheet (p.10) to log emission values before and after installation for record-keeping.
II. Vietnam Emission Standards
Currently, vehicles in Vietnam must comply with Emission Standards Level 4 and Level 5, which define permissible limits for pollutants including CO (% vol), HC (ppm vol), Lambda (λ), and Smoke (%) HSU.
-
These standards are divided into 5 levels.
-
According to Decision 49/2011/QĐ-TTg, from January 1, 2022, all domestically manufactured and imported vehicles must comply with Euro 5 emission standards, reducing toxic exhaust gases and environmental pollution.
III. Exhaust Gas Analyzer
Recommended equipment: KOENG KEG-500C (5-component analyzer) or equivalent, used to measure vehicle exhaust indicators such as Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrocarbon (HC), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), etc.
Meaning of key indicators:
-
CO (Carbon Monoxide): Produced from incomplete combustion, especially under oxygen deficiency.
-
HC (Hydrocarbons): Generated when unburned fuel passes into the exhaust.
-
High CO & HC: Indicate incomplete combustion → harmful to human health and the environment.
📌 After stabilization, print the initial exhaust result → Turn off engine → Reset analyzer.
IV. Interpretation of Vehicle Emission Indicators
Combustion reaction formula:
-
CnHx + O2 → Complete Combustion: nH2O + xCO2
-
H2O (Water vapor): Explains why, after installing FECO GA, vehicles may emit vapor or water drops at the exhaust → fuel is fully burned.
-
CO2 (Carbon Dioxide): Non-toxic component.
-
-
CnHx + O2 → Incomplete Combustion: nHC + xCO
-
CO (Carbon Monoxide): Causes soot deposits in exhaust pipes.
-
HC (Unburned Hydrocarbons): Residual fuel → explains strong odor and irritation in vehicles without FECO GA.
-
📌 Engine combustion efficiency is reflected directly in emission indicators.
FECO X3 Effects on Exhaust Indicators
-
Promotes complete combustion → CO, HC, NOx levels drop immediately after installation.
-
Pushes out old soot deposits (CO) from the engine.
-
On older vehicles, CO may initially remain high or even spike (as deposits are released).
-
After 15–30 minutes of driving, levels stabilize as soot is expelled.
-
Typical Scenarios
CO Level | HC Level | Vehicle Condition |
---|---|---|
High | High | Incomplete combustion; heavy soot deposits; engine vibration, sluggish, overheating; very high fuel consumption. |
Low | High | Incomplete combustion; little soot; less vibration/heat; still high fuel waste. |
High | Low | Better combustion but soot deposits remain; engine sluggish and hot; moderate fuel waste. |
V. Installation Procedure for FECO X3 on Cars
Step 1 – Measure Baseline Emissions
-
Use analyzer to measure CO, HC, CO2, NOx before installation.
Step 2 – Install FECO X3 Device
-
Install FECO X3 bars on the fuel line (nearest to the engine) and air intake hose.
Installation quantity:
-
Engines > 2.0L: 5 bars (4 on fuel line, 1 on air intake).
-
Engines < 2.0L: 3 bars (2 on fuel line, 1 on air intake).
📌 Note: Install FECO X3 bars after the air filter sensor.
Step 3 – Activate System
-
Start the engine → allow FECO X3 to activate via engine heat.
Step 4 – Re-Measure Emissions
-
Measure CO, HC, NOx again → compare with baseline.
VI. Safety Notes
-
FECO X3 is externally clamped, no wiring, no cutting, no engine modification.
-
Installation time: 15–20 minutes.
-
Absolutely safe for fuel & electrical systems, no impact on vehicle warranty.
VII. Commitment to Real-World Effectiveness
FECO X3 is scientifically and practically proven to:
-
Reduce CO, HC, NOx by 90–100%.
-
Save 10–25% fuel consumption.
-
Improve engine smoothness, durability, and efficiency.
